Faith in Action is currently looking for a few dedicated people to join our board.

JOB TITLE: MEMBER OF THE BOARD
GOAL: With the other directors, each board member is responsible for ensuring effective and fiscally sound programs and operations by providing good leadership, advice and direction to the staff and volunteers of the organization.
|
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare for each Board of Director's meeting by reading material distributed prior to the meeting.
2. Attend board meetings and participate in the proceedings and other committees as necessary.
3. Maintain knowledge of current programs and staff of the organization.
4. Assist in fundraising for the program.
5. Share resources and talents with the organization including expertise, contact for financial support and contacts for in-kind contributions.
6. Serve as an advocate of the organization to various constituent groups.
7. Fulfill commitments within the agreed-upon deadlines.
8. Hold in confidence any information given to the Board of Directors.
9. Identify individuals for potential membership on the Board of Directors and its committees.

Media/Communications and Fundraising.

The Faith in Action Board of Directors typically meet every third Thursday of the month from 9:30-11 am.
